The Zollner ear needle is a fine angled needle for otologic microsurgery. Surgeons use it to probe, dissect and position tissue in the middle ear.

The ear canal rarely gives a straight view of every structure. Therefore, an angled needle helps the surgeon reach behind edges and under the drum. The shaft stays in the line of sight while the tip works.

Sixteen options

You choose a 1 mm or 0.5 mm tip. Next comes a 90 or 45 degree angle. Finally, you select upward, right, left or downward. That makes 16 versions, and the catalogue gives the length as about 13.5 cm.
