Yasargil Micro Spring Type Scissors
Yasargil spring scissors are microsurgical scissors designed for neurosurgery. The range runs from 16.5 to 22.5 cm.
Bayonet models
The 16.5, 20 and 22.5 cm models are bayonet-shaped. So your hand sits outside the microscope’s line of sight.
Blade shapes
Choose straight, curved, curved left or curved right. Therefore the blade can suit the side you approach from.
An 18.5 cm model
An 18.5 cm straight or curved model is also available. It has a straight shaft.
Why bayonet
In a deep, narrow field, a straight instrument blocks the view. Instead, a bayonet offsets the hand. Also, left and right curves let you cut toward either side. Then the surgeon keeps the tips in view.
Reprocessing Yasargil spring scissors
Handle the bayonet shaft by the grip, never by the tips. Rinse, dry and store each model in its own slot.
