Wiener Nasal Rasp

The Wiener nasal rasp is a curved rasp for rhinoplasty. Surgeons use it to refine the nasal bones and to take down a hump in small steps.

Why the curve matters

A curve lets the working surface follow the rounded shape of the nasal bones. Therefore the surgeon can reach slightly lateral areas while keeping good contact. It also helps when the approach angle is tight.

Also note the size: we list the rasp at 18 cm with a curved shape. That length balances reach with fine control near the tip of the nose. For blade dimensions, just ask and we will measure one.

Using it alongside straight rasps

Many surgeons start with a straight rasp on the midline. Then they switch to a curved one to blend the sides. As a result, the bony vault ends up smooth all the way across.

Caring for your Wiener nasal rasp

Clean along the teeth with a firm brush straight after surgery. Also pay attention to the inside of the curve, where debris can hide. Then rinse, dry and sterilize it.
