The straight shape keeps each stroke on a single, predictable line, so the motion stays simple. As a result, the surgeon can remove bone evenly along the bridge. That makes it a good tool for gradual, controlled reduction.

Where it fits

Rinse the teeth immediately after the procedure. Then scrub along the cutting surface with a firm brush to lift out bone fragments. Next, dry the rasp fully before sterilization, because trapped water can leave marks.
