Vickers Low-Profile Retractor
The Vickers low-profile retractor is a small retractor with a center blade. You can order it complete with the center blade, or buy the center blade only. Blades come in 10.0 x 12.0 mm and 10.0 x 18.0 mm.
Complete Unit or Blade Only
Order the complete retractor when you are building a new set. However, if you already own the retractor, the center blade alone may be all you need. That option also works for adding a second blade size.
Two Vickers Center Blade Sizes
Both blades share the same 10 mm width. The difference lies in depth: 12 mm or 18 mm. So choose the shorter blade for shallow wounds and the deeper one when you need more reach.
Why Low Profile Helps
A low profile keeps the retractor from standing tall above the wound. As a result, it crowds the field less and leaves more room for other tools.

A Conservative Note on Use
We keep the use notes general here. In practice, small retractors of this kind hold back tissue to expose a working area. Because blade depth varies, match it to your usual incision depth before you commit.
Care of the Vickers Center Blade
Remove the center blade, if it detaches, before you clean it. Then brush each part and rinse well. Finally, reassemble only after the parts are dry.
Shipped non-sterile, the retractor can return to use once you clean and sterilize it. Stainless steel matching ASTM F899 goes into both frame and blade, with checks carried out in the United States.
