Description
Tebbetts Retractor with Light Guide and Suction
The Tebbetts retractor combines a fiber-optic light guide and a suction channel in one instrument. Surgeons use it in breast augmentation and aesthetic surgery to light and clear the pocket.
Built-in light
The light guide sends light straight into the pocket. So the surgeon sees into the deep space behind a small incision. Also, it removes the need to aim a separate light into a narrow opening.
Suction channel
A suction channel draws off fluid as you work. Meanwhile, the blade keeps the tissue lifted. As a result, the pocket stays clear and visible.
Three blade sizes
Choose 24 x 100, 23 x 150 or 30 x 150 mm. The 100 mm blade suits a shorter pocket. By contrast, the 150 mm blades reach further, and the 30 mm width lifts more tissue.
Aesthetic surgery
Breast pockets sit deep behind small incisions. Therefore, a Tebbetts retractor with light and suction does three jobs at once. Plus, fewer instruments crowd the opening.
Care of Tebbetts retractor
Flush the suction channel with water right after surgery, before fluid dries inside. Next, clean the light guide end gently so the optics stay clear. Finally, store the retractor where the light guide cannot knock against other steel.
