Description
Tap With T-Handle
The T-handle bone tap combines a thread-cutting tap with a fixed T-handle. It cuts screw threads in bone with steady hand control.
Built-in handle
A fixed handle means no separate coupling. Therefore the tap is ready to use straight from the tray. Furthermore, the T shape gives good leverage.
Three diameters
Choose 3.5, 4.5 or 7.0 mm. Additionally, the 3.5 mm tap suits small fragment screws. Meanwhile, the 4.5 and 7.0 mm taps suit larger screws.
Who uses a T-handle bone tap
Fracture teams pick it for quick, single-instrument tapping. It also suits large cancellous screw work. Also, its simplicity appeals to busy theaters.
Tapping technique
Turn the handle slowly and steadily. Then back it out a quarter turn now and then to clear bone chips. Stop at the planned depth.
Choosing a diameter
Match the tap to the screw you plan to use. Consequently, check your screw system first. Besides, we can help confirm sizes.
