Description
Scoville Retractor Blade Only
This Scoville retractor blade fits a Scoville-type retractor frame. Because we offer it alone, you can add sizes or replace a blade without buying a new frame.
Why buy blades separately
Different patients and approaches call for different blade depths. So a frame with several interchangeable blades covers more cases. Also, spare blades let you keep a set running when one goes for repair.
Seven blade options
We list blades of 41 x 38, 64 x 25, 64 x 50, 67 x 44 and 88 x 25 mm. In addition, we offer blades of 50 mm and 70 mm. Please confirm frame compatibility with us before ordering.
Where the blades work
Scoville-type retractors often hold spinal wounds open during laminectomy. For example, a shallow blade suits a slim patient while a deeper one suits a larger build. Then the frame keeps tension without an assistant.
Choosing blades
First, check which frame you own. Next, pick blades that match your usual wound depth and width. If you are unsure, send us the frame details and we will advise.
Caring for your Scoville retractor blade
Clean each blade right after use, paying attention to the attachment area. Scrub with a soft brush and neutral cleaner, then rinse. Dry fully and sterilize with the frame or separately.
