Description
Sauerbruch Waste Forceps
The Sauerbruch waste forceps let theatre staff pick up used swabs and waste without touching them. At 58 cm, they reach the floor and the bottom of bins while the user stands upright.
A long reach
The forceps measure 58 cm. Consequently, staff can lift items from the floor without bending. Besides, that reduces back strain over a busy list.
Why use Sauerbruch waste forceps
Used swabs carry blood and fluids. Handling them at a distance lowers contact. In addition, it keeps gloves cleaner between tasks.
Typical tasks
Theatre staff collect dropped swabs and move them to the bin. For example, they help during swab counts at the end of a case. They also suit sluice rooms and wards.
Grip
Squeeze the handles until the jaws hold the swab. Next, raise it over the bin. Also, release over the bin rather than dropping from a height.
Pairing
A waste bucket with a lid sits well beside the forceps. Together they keep the floor clear. In addition, a kick bucket helps during the case.

When you check out
These long forceps come with three years against manufacturing defects starting at dispatch. Each forceps gets a detailed look by Atlanta staff before shipment. FDA listings include ASTM F899 under instrument alloys. A close relative is our waste bucket. A backup forceps on the shelf avoids delays. For payment questions, scan the FAQs. Search the rest of our general surgical range too. We are glad to prepare a quote for new trays.
