Description
Rogers Hysterectomy Forceps
Rogers hysterectomy forceps are an atraumatic-style clamp for securing pedicles during hysterectomy. They come in four jaw figures, each in two lengths.
Four jaw figures
Fig 1 through Fig 4 each carry a different jaw shape. So surgeons can pick the figure that suits their technique and the pedicle in front of them. Also, many teams keep more than one figure on the same tray.
Lengths by figure
Fig 1 comes in 23 or 25 cm. Meanwhile, Fig 2 and Fig 3 come in 20 or 25 cm, and Fig 4 in 20 or 23 cm. Therefore you can pair a shorter clamp for vaginal work with a longer one for open cases.
An atraumatic-style hold
The atraumatic-style design aims to hold a pedicle firmly with less crush. As a result, Rogers hysterectomy forceps suit tissue that the surgeon will tie off. However, always choose the figure by pedicle size and depth.
Ordering the right figure
Tell us the figure and the length when you order. Then we can confirm the pairing before dispatch. Plus, mixed sets of two or three figures help a team try them side by side.
Care of Rogers hysterectomy forceps
After each case, flush the jaw pattern with water before debris sets. Then scrub along the gripping faces with a nylon brush, working from the joint outward. Also, keep each figure in its own marked slot so sets stay complete.
