Quire Nasal Polypus Forceps

The Quire nasal polypus forceps is a small, fine grasping forceps for the front of the nose. Clinicians use the Quire nasal polypus forceps to pick up small polyps, debris or foreign material near the nostril.

A compact grasping tool

At about 12 cm, the Quire is much shorter than most polyp forceps. Because of that, it offers fine control in the nasal vestibule and anterior nose. It also fits comfortably in an office procedure kit.

Straight or curved

The Quire comes straight or curved. The straight Quire points directly ahead, while the curved Quire moves your hand off the sight line. Some clinicians keep both in the same drawer.

Typical uses

For example, a clinician may use it to remove a small polyp or crust under direct view. It can also lift out a foreign body close to the entrance of the nose. Deeper work, however, needs a longer forceps.

Choosing a shape

Caring for the Quire

Small jaws trap debris easily, so rinse them right after use. Next, work a fine brush into the Quire joint. Then dry the Quire well and sterilize it with the jaws open.
