Description
Powder Strewer
The powder strewer sprinkles powder evenly onto wounds, dressings or surfaces. Its perforated top spreads a fine, even layer.
Size
It measures 50 x 100 mm. Moreover, that holds enough powder for a session. Meanwhile, it stays easy to hold in one hand.
Why use a powder strewer
Even coverage is hard to achieve with a spoon. In addition, a shaker spreads powder in a thin layer. Consequently, you waste less powder.
Typical uses
Clinics use it for wound and skin powders. In addition, labs use it to dust surfaces. It also suits plaster rooms.
Technique
Hold the strewer above the area and shake gently. Next, move it in a steady line. Also, keep the top clear of moisture to avoid clogging.
Refilling
Open the top and fill to about two-thirds. Also, that leaves room for the powder to move. Then close it firmly.
Choosing a powder
Fine, dry powders flow best through the holes. By contrast, damp or coarse powders tend to clog. For this reason, store the powder somewhere dry before filling.
