Potts ligature forceps help surgeons dissect around a vessel and pass a ligature behind it. They come in 22 and 23 cm lengths.
Dissecting and passing
First, the surgeon works the tips gently behind a vessel. Then the forceps take hold of a ligature and draw it back through the gap. That right-angle style of use suits deep, tight spaces.
