Description
Polloson Retractor
The Polloson retractor comes in two long sizes, 25 cm and 28 cm. Its job is to keep tissue out of the way while the surgeon works in deeper open fields.
25 cm option
The shorter size gives good reach while staying easy to hold. So it suits moderate-depth wounds in general surgery. Many trays start with this length.
28 cm option
The longer size reaches further into deep cavities. Therefore the assistant keeps hands clear of the working area. It also helps with larger patients.
Choosing between them
Consider the depth of the procedures you run most often. Alternatively, stock both so the team can switch mid-case. Then the right reach stays close at hand whatever the case brings.
About the sizes
Our listing shows 25 and 28 cm for this pattern. However, individual pieces can measure about a centimeter different from the label. If an exact length matters for your Polloson retractor, contact us before you order.
Looking after Polloson retractor
Wipe gross soil off the working end right after the case. Next, run it through a full wash and brush any corners by hand. Finally, dry it completely and store it away from heavier tools.
