Description
Mod-Martin Cotton Applicators
The Mod-Martin cotton applicator is a slim rod with a roughened tip. Staff wind a wisp of cotton onto it to make a custom swab.
Two shaft diameters
The shaft measures 1.2 mm or 1.5 mm. Additionally, the finer shaft reaches narrow passages. Meanwhile, the thicker one stays stiff when you need a firm wipe.
Why use a reusable Mod-Martin cotton applicator
Disposable swabs come in fixed sizes. Here, you choose how much cotton to wind. As a result, the swab matches the space you need to clean or medicate.
Where it is used
ENT and general clinics use it to apply medication. It also clears small wounds and canals. Some teams keep it for taking samples too.
Winding a swab
Pull a thin strip of cotton and lay the tip on it. Then twist the rod so the fibres grip the textured end. Finally, tease the cotton into a smooth tip.
