Description
Micro Retractor, Wide Tip
Microsurgical flaps are small, and a standard cheek retractor would cover half the field. A micro retractor solves that by scaling the blade down to the size of the site. This model has a 9.5 mm wide tip, as listed in the supplier’s perio microsurgery section. It is sold as one version.
What the 9.5 mm Wide Tip Offers
The tip is broad enough to hold a small flap edge evenly. However, it remains narrow compared with any full-size retractor. So it spreads pressure across the tissue without crowding the operator. That balance suits papilla flaps, connective tissue grafts and small implant exposures.
Working Under Magnification
Under loupes or a microscope, every instrument in the field looks larger. A slim retractor therefore keeps more of the image clear. In addition, the assistant can hold it with fingertip control, which helps when the flap is thin. Small, steady movements matter more here than strength.
Building a Microsurgery Kit
The micro retractor works alongside micro elevators, micro chisels and fine forceps from the same range. Together, they let the surgeon lift, hold and trim tissue at the same scale. If you already own micro elevators, this retractor fills the gap between them and your suture tray.
Inspection and Warranty Details
The retractor is stainless steel, and our staff in the United States inspect the tip edges before dispatch. Because it is delivered non-sterile, give it a gentle clean and a sterilization cycle in a protective rack. Delicate tips like this one still receive three years against manufacturing defects under our policy.
The steel is graded to ASTM F899. Browse more fine tools in Dental Implant Instruments. The Micro Elevator from the same series lifts the tissue this retractor holds. Questions are answered in our FAQs.
