Description
Micro Forceps, Fine Tip
Fine tip micro forceps handle delicate tissue in small fields. You can choose the tip size, the handle shape and an angled option.
Two tip sizes
The 0.9 mm tips suit the finest holding. By contrast, the 7 mm version gives a longer grasping area.
Straight or bayonet
The straight shape suits open work. Meanwhile, the bayonet shape keeps your hand out of the line of sight under a microscope.
Angled option
The 0.9 mm tips also come angled. So you can reach around structures without turning your wrist.
Choosing a shape
Pick the bayonet shape for deep or narrow fields viewed through a scope. Then use the straight shape for open microsurgery. Also, keep an angled pair for corners that a straight tip cannot reach. In addition, the 7 mm version gives a longer platform for holding tissue flat. Meanwhile, the 0.9 mm tips suit single fibres and fine suture. So a small set of these fine tip micro forceps covers most delicate holding under the scope.
Cleaning fine tip micro forceps
Clean the fine tips with a gentle stream of water. Next, pat the forceps dry and inspect the points under magnification. Then fit silicone tip covers before storage.
