What the gag does

The frame sits in the mouth and keeps the jaws apart. Meanwhile, a tongue blade presses the tongue out of the field. As a result, the tonsils stay in steady, open view.

In a tonsil set

The mouth gag usually goes in first. Then the surgeon uses seizing forceps, a dissector and a snare or other tools. So the gag forms the base of the whole tonsil tray.

Choosing a configuration

If you are building a new set, then the complete option makes sense. However, a second frame can replace a worn one. Also, tell us which blades you use and we will check the fit.

Take the gag apart as far as its design allows after each case. Next, brush every joint and blade under running water. Finally, dry all parts completely and sterilize them.
