Description
Leyla Retractor System, Complete
The Leyla retractor system holds brain spatulas steady during cranial surgery. It fixes to the skull clamp or bone and carries a flexible arm, so the surgeon can position a spatula and leave it in place.
Why a fixed retractor
Hand-held spatulas move whenever the assistant tires. In contrast, a fixed system keeps steady, gentle retraction for as long as the surgeon needs. As a result, the surgeon can work with both hands under the microscope.
What the complete system includes
Our complete set includes a flexible arm, a rotatable coupling head and a coupling head with 5 arms. It also includes a holding rod in two pieces and a ball and socket. In addition, it has single and double skull fixators, a single fixator for the arm, and supports for round-stem and flat brain spatulas.
How the parts work together
First, the fixators attach the system to the skull. Next, the holding rod and coupling heads create mounting points. Then the flexible arm carries a spatula support to the exact spot. Therefore the setup adapts to many approaches.
Price on request
We quote the Leyla retractor system individually. So please contact us for a quote, and tell us whether you need the full system or specific parts. We will confirm contents and lead time in writing.
Caring for your Leyla retractor system
Take the system apart fully after each case. Then clean each part separately, with extra attention to the flexible arm and joints. Finally, dry every part and sterilize them in a dedicated tray.
