Description
Jacobs Breast Dissector
The Jacobs breast dissector shapes the implant pocket with blunt sweeps. Two lengths cover different incision sites.
Two lengths
We offer 33 cm and 43 cm. Furthermore, the shorter one suits fold incisions. Meanwhile, the longer one reaches from the armpit.
Why the Jacobs breast dissector
Its blunt tip separates tissue without sharp cutting. Bleeding stays low. Consequently, recovery is often smoother.
Typical procedures
Primary augmentation uses it most. Revisions and pocket changes also call for it. Besides, many surgeons keep both lengths.
Technique
First, pass the tip along the plane and sweep gently. Also, check the pocket outline often. Then compare both sides.
Companion tools
Lighted retractors and spreaders work well with it. For example, the retractor lights the far edge while the dissector sweeps. Together they make pocket creation efficient.
Choosing between the two lengths
First, consider where the incision sits. For example, a fold cut is close to the pocket, so 33 cm is enough. However, an armpit approach needs the 43 cm length to reach the lower pole. In addition, a longer shaft gives more leverage, although it also needs a steadier hand.

Care
