Description
Jansen Bone Rongeur Forceps
This Jansen orthopedic rongeur is a slim, 18 cm instrument. It reaches bone down narrow approaches where a broad rongeur cannot fit.
Built for access
The slim head passes between retractor blades and down tight corridors. Therefore it suits deep, narrow exposures. It still takes a useful bite once there.
Spring handles
The spring reopens the jaws after each bite. As a result, the surgeon can work quickly without extra effort. There is no ratchet to release between bites.
Who uses the Jansen orthopedic rongeur
Mastoid surgeons know the pattern well. Also, spine and orthopedic surgeons use it in narrow approaches. It suits revision work too.
Deep, narrow work
Advance the slim jaws along the corridor while you watch the tip. Next, close gently and back out to clear the bite. Repeat until the space opens.
Narrow head, steady bite
Slim rongeurs can feel flimsy. However, the Jansen keeps enough stiffness to bite firmly. Consequently, it combines access with dependable removal.
