Iris scissors are small, sharp, ring-handled scissors with fine tips. They began in eye surgery, and today they suit many kinds of fine work. Our range offers the widest choice in this category.

Seven lengths

We offer 9cm, 10cm, 10.5cm, 11cm, 11.5cm, 12cm and 13cm. Short pairs give close control. Longer ones, however, add reach. So choose by your hand size and how deep you need to work.

Four blade shapes

Shape changes your view and your angle of approach.

• Straight: simple, direct cuts.
• Slight curve: a small offset for a better view.
• Curved: follows round surfaces.
• Angled: reaches around corners.

Three edge choices

Standard edges suit most work. SuperCut adds a finer, sharper edge for very clean cuts. Tungsten carbide, meanwhile, adds hard cutting edges that tend to hold their sharpness for longer. Check the photos for your pick. Then, if two options seem close, start with standard and upgrade later.

Building the right pair

Start with the task, then narrow the options. For fine surface work, a short curved pair often fits. For deeper cuts, a longer straight pair may suit better. Then pick the edge type to match how often you cut.

Looking after them

Rinse and brush the joint after use. Next, dry the pair fully. Also, check the tips under good light, since fine tips can bend. Store each pair in its own slot, so fine tips never rub.
