Description
Hypodermic Needle with Luer Lock
The Luer lock hypodermic needle is a reusable steel needle with a locking hub. The lock screws onto a matching syringe, so the needle cannot slip off under pressure.
Why a Luer lock
A twist-on lock holds firmly during injection or aspiration. As a result, the needle stays attached even with thick fluids. Meanwhile, removal is quick when you twist it back.
Luer lock hypodermic needle figures
We offer figures 1, 2, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. They differ in gauge and length. Therefore, you can match the needle to the task.
Typical uses
Labs, veterinary practices and some clinical settings use reusable needles. For example, they suit aspiration of fluids or irrigation of small spaces. They also help in teaching labs.
Reusable steel
You can clean and sterilise steel needles many times. However, they need careful inspection between uses. Check the point and the hub thread each time.
Choosing a figure
Thick fluids need a wider bore. By contrast, fine work calls for a narrow gauge. If you need help matching a figure, contact our team.
