Description
Hexagonal Screw Driver With T-Handle
The T-handle hex screwdriver drives hexagonal-head bone screws with firm control. Five sizes cover small to large screws.
Hexagonal heads
Many bone screws have a hexagonal recess. Also, a matching hex driver grips all six faces. Therefore torque transfers evenly and the head resists stripping.
Five sizes
Choose 2.5, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 or 7.0 mm. Moreover, the small sizes suit small fragment screws. Meanwhile, 4.5 and 7.0 mm suit large and cannulated screws.
Who uses a T-handle hex screwdriver
Trauma surgeons use it for insertion and final tightening. Also, hardware removal cases rely on it. Large screws especially benefit from the T-handle.
Why a T-handle hex screwdriver
The T shape lets the surgeon apply torque with both hands. Consequently, stuck screws turn more easily. It also gives a fine feel for final tightness.
Matching the size
Match the driver to the hex recess, not the screw diameter. Then seat it fully before turning. In addition, a partial fit can round the recess.
