Description
Fine Operating Scissors Probe End
Probe end scissors have a blunt probe tip on one blade. They come in 10.5 and 11.5 cm.
The probe tip
The probe slides under tissue or a dressing without piercing. So the cutting blade stays guided.
Straight, curved or angled
Both lengths come straight or curved. In addition, the 11.5 cm size comes angled.
Fine blades
The slim blades cut cleanly. Also, they suit small openings.
Where they help
Probe end scissors suit opening sinus tracts and cutting along a guided line. Also, clinics use them to cut dressings close to skin. Then plain fine scissors cover open cutting. In addition, the angled version reaches awkward spots without twisting the wrist. So each size suits a slightly different task. For wound care, choose the straight pair for flat surfaces. Then use the curved or angled pair around contours. Because the probe stays blunt, the skin below remains protected.
Cleaning probe end scissors
Clean the probe tip and blades after each use. Next, rinse and dry fully. Then store the scissors closed.
