Description
Fergusson Suction Tube
The Fergusson suction tube clears blood and fluid in small spaces. A vent near the handle lets the thumb control the pull.
Seven bore sizes
We stock 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 Fr. Besides, the small sizes suit ear and microsurgery. Meanwhile, 10 and 12 Fr clear thicker fluid in nasal and general work.
Why the Fergusson suction tube works well
The angled shaft keeps the hand out of the line of sight. In addition, the thumb vent lets suction rise and fall without touching the machine. So the user works fast and gently.
Common uses
ENT surgeons rely on it in ear and sinus procedures. Neurosurgery and plastic surgery teams use the fine sizes too. Moreover, many trays hold three or four bores.
Using the vent
Cover the vent to apply full suction. Lift the thumb to stop the pull. As a result, delicate tissue is not drawn into the tip.

Clearing the lumen
Flush water through the tube right after use. Pass a fitting stylet or brush along the bore. Then dry the lumen before sterilising.
Delivery notes
The Fergusson pattern keeps our pledge of three years against manufacturing defects counted from delivery. Any suction tube receives a thorough review by Atlanta staff before dispatch. Think about adding the Plester pattern. For help with an order, browse the order FAQ. To read about medical stainless steel, review ASTM F899. Larger hospitals order two of these to cover reprocessing time. Tour our growing general surgery range for other sizes.
Clinical use by professionals. Read our delivery policy for timing. Our photos can vary a little, and this alloy contains nickel; read the reprocessing guide for the full note.
