Description
Endoscopic Dissector, Nerve Hook
The endoscopic nerve hook lets a surgeon lift and hold a nerve during endoscopic surgery. It passes through a small portal, so the surgeon can move the nerve without a large incision.
A hook for endoscopic access
Standard nerve hooks need an open field. By contrast, this pattern reaches the nerve through a narrow channel. The surgeon hooks the nerve gently and moves it aside while another tool works.
Four configurations
We offer four versions of the 23 cm hook. First, choose the side: Left or Right. Then choose the handle: Normal or Ergo. That gives Left-Normal, Left-Ergo, Right-Normal and Right-Ergo.
Why the side matters
The side decides which way the hook turns relative to the handle. So the choice depends on the approach and on which hand holds the instrument. Many teams therefore stock a left and a right together.
Building the endoscopic set
This hook works best as part of a set. In addition to the hook, the family includes a nerve dissector, a protector and a cutting dissector. Ask us if you need help choosing a combination.
Caring for your endoscopic nerve hook
Wipe the hook during the case to keep tissue from drying on it. Afterward, clean the shaft with a long brush and rinse carefully. Finally, dry the hook and inspect the tip before sterilization.

Ordering the hook
Each hook carries a three-year warranty covering any fault in its workmanship. We check the tip and handle by hand in Atlanta, then pack it. Our FAQ pages explain payment and shipping. Also, we look to ASTM F899 for guidance on hook steels. Before lifting the nerve, many surgeons use the endoscopic nerve dissector. Explore our neurosurgery selection for more.
Professional use only for this hook. Read the care and sterilization details on photo accuracy and nickel in our alloys, and check the shipping times page before ordering.
