Description
Endoscopic Dissector, Nerve Dissector
The endoscopic nerve dissector frees and separates tissue around a nerve during endoscopic surgery. Surgeons pass it through a small portal and work under the endoscope’s view.
Blunt work around the nerve
Before any cutting, the surgeon needs to see the nerve and the tissue around it. So a dissector opens the planes and moves soft tissue aside. This instrument brings that function to endoscopic procedures.
Size and handle options
The dissector measures 4.7 mm with a 24 cm length. You can choose a Normal handle or an Ergo handle. Both options share the same working size, so choose the grip that suits your surgeons.
Using it in an endoscopic case
First, the surgeon places the portal and the endoscope. Next, the endoscopic nerve dissector clears the tissue and shows the nerve. Then the hook, protector or cutting dissector takes over for the later steps.
Picking a handle
Handle choice comes down to preference and hand size. For instance, a surgeon who does many endoscopic cases may prefer the Ergo handle. Meanwhile, others stay with the Normal handle to match their existing set.
Caring for your nerve dissector
Brush the shaft and tip as soon as the case ends, before debris dries. Then rinse and dry the whole length, handle included. Store it straight and protected, because a bent shaft affects the fit through the portal.

Placing an order
Our three-year warranty protects this nerve dissector from faults in how we finish it. A team member in Atlanta inspects the handle and shaft before shipping. Read the FAQ guide for payment and delivery details. Furthermore, ASTM F899 is our cited reference for surgical steel grades. To lift the nerve after dissection, use the endoscopic nerve hook. The neurosurgery pages show the remaining endoscopic tools.
