Description
DeBakey Atrauma Clamp
The DeBakey Atrauma Clamp is a general-purpose surgical clamp with DeBakey atraumatic jaws. Surgeons use it to grasp and hold soft tissue firmly without crushing it. It comes in 26 cm and 27 cm lengths.
Atraumatic DeBakey jaws
The jaws carry fine rows of interlocking teeth in the DeBakey pattern. Those teeth spread the grip along the whole jaw, so tissue holds without slipping. As a result, delicate tissue stays intact after the clamp is released.
Two working lengths
We offer the clamp in 26 cm and in 27 cm. The longer size adds a little extra reach in a deep surgical field. Otherwise, both sizes do the same job, so choose the one that suits your hand and your tray.
Ring handles and ratchet
Ring handles and a ratchet lock let the surgeon set the grip and leave it in place. Then the clamp stays closed until it is released by hand, which frees the team to work.
Where it fits in the tray
General surgery trays often carry one long atraumatic clamp beside shorter hemostats and tissue forceps. The DeBakey Atrauma Clamp fills that role well. Also, keeping both lengths on hand gives the team a choice when the field is deeper than expected.
Built for reuse
Each clamp is made from surgical-grade stainless steel. It is supplied non-sterile, so clean and sterilize it before first use and after every procedure. With proper care, it holds up through repeated sterilization cycles.
