Ramathibodi Uterine Manipulator
The Ramathibodi uterine manipulator passes through the cervix to raise and move the uterus. It brings the uterus and tubes toward a minilaparotomy incision for tubal ligation.
Transcervical elevation
The instrument enters through the cervix, so the operator controls the uterus from below. Then gentle pressure lifts the fundus toward the abdominal wall. As a result, the tubes come within reach of the small incision.
Working with the tubal hook
Once the uterus sits close to the incision, the surgeon uses a hook to lift each tube. So the two instruments work as a team. In addition, the manipulator can tilt the uterus to bring each side forward in turn.

The length gives enough reach from the vagina to the uterine cavity. Also, it leaves room for an assistant to hold it comfortably. Plus, one size covers the usual range of cases.
