Description
Gerster-Lowman Bone Holding Clamp
The Gerster-Lowman bone clamp holds bone during fixation in four lengths. It covers small bones through long bones.
Four lengths
The 13 cm clamp suits hand and foot bones. Meanwhile, 18 and 20 cm suit the forearm. Besides, the 23 cm clamp suits tibia and femur.
The Lowman grip
Lowman-style clamps hold bone firmly with adjustable jaws. Therefore they grip different bone sizes. This version adds Gerster features.
Who uses the Gerster-Lowman bone clamp
Plating teams use the longer sizes. Meanwhile, the 13 cm size serves hand and foot surgeons. It suits osteotomies too.
Using it
Reduce the fracture first. Then apply the clamp and tighten gradually. Drill and fix while it holds.
One pattern, many sizes
Having one pattern in four lengths keeps technique consistent. Consequently, staff learn it once and use it everywhere. That simplifies training.
A single family for every size
Small and large clamps from the same family feel alike in use. Therefore staff can switch between them without thinking. Furthermore, that consistency speeds up a case.

Purchase support
Each clamp gets a final inspection in Atlanta before we post it. We insure each clamp for three years against manufacturing defects as standard. Most clinics keep one per tray to avoid delays. For shipping questions, scan our FAQ page. See our complete orthopedics catalog too. We will happily confirm details for your clinic. Steel for surgical tools falls under a standard, namely ASTM F899. For a next step, add our Gerster traction bar.
