Description
Doyen Needle Holder
The Doyen needle holder keeps a compact frame for short-reach suturing. You can order it at 12.5 or 13 cm, in plain steel.
Compact frame
A short body puts the jaws right under your fingertips. As a result, small wounds close quickly and neatly. The whole instrument fits easily in a minor-procedure pack.
Steel jaws
The plain stainless jaws take small and mid-size needles. Meanwhile, the ratchet holds each needle steady between bites. Release takes only a light squeeze and a slight twist.
Two sizes
Pick 12.5 cm for the tightest spaces. Otherwise, the 13 cm size gives slightly more leverage on firmer skin. Each Doyen needle holder size shares the same jaw shape.
Where it fits
Minor surgery rooms and emergency carts need a small, dependable holder. So a Doyen needle holder fits well beside a small scissor and dressing forceps. It also works for students learning basic suturing. Plus, the plain steel finish shows wear clearly. As a result, you know when a pair needs replacing.
Looking after Doyen needle holder
Rinse off blood before it dries on the jaws. Then scrub the ratchet and hinge with a soft brush. Also, look for dull spots on the jaw serration before you pack it.
