Description
Collin-Loktite Retractor
The Collin-Loktite retractor is a self-retaining Collin retractor with a Lok-Tite locking mechanism. It measures about 25 cm.
Lok-Tite locking
The Lok-Tite mechanism locks the spread you set. So the opening stays put during the case, even as the team moves around the table. Also, you can release it quickly when you need to adjust the spread mid-case.
Collin pattern
The Collin pattern is a classic self-retaining design for abdominal surgery. Surgeons use it to hold an abdominal incision open without an assistant pulling on a blade. Then the team can focus on the work inside.
When to choose it
Choose the Lok-Tite version when you want a firm, locked spread. By contrast, our Collin with one pair of blades lists a 100 mm spread. Therefore, compare both before you order.
Size
The instrument measures about 25 cm overall. Because length affects reach, compare it with the Collin you already use in your trays. Then order the Collin-Loktite retractor if it matches your cases.
Reprocessing Collin-Loktite retractor
Release the lock before cleaning so the whole mechanism opens fully to the water. Next, brush the lock and any seams, then rinse well. Finally, dry it and store it unlocked to spare the mechanism.
