Description
Caspar Retractor Complete with 10 Blades
The Caspar retractor with 10 blades is our largest Caspar set for cervical spine work. It pairs a self-retaining frame with ten blades.
Ten blades on the tray
With ten blades, the team has more choice at the table. So a change in depth or width does not stall the case. Also, a backup blade stays on hand if one drops.
Self-retaining hold
Once set, the frame keeps the neck tissues apart on its own. Meanwhile, the surgeon’s hands stay on the spine. Then the assistant can manage suction and lighting.
Same frame as the 6-blade set
Its frame matches our model For 6-Blade or 10-Blade Set. Therefore, a spare frame for one set also suits the other. Plus, that simplifies stock for sites that run both.
Who it suits
Busy spine services often want every blade option in one tray. However, a smaller set may suit an occasional user better. In that case, look at our six-blade version.
Looking after Caspar retractor with 10 blades
Lay out all ten blades after the case and inspect each one. Next, rinse and brush the frame and blades apart, paying attention to their joins. Finally, dry everything and count ten blades back into the set.
